The Next Chapter
Where do I start today? My mind is racing, my heart is heavy, my thoughts are scattered..... Many things today. Lessons learned? Everytime I crack open door, a flood of memories and feelings rush back in. Why do I continue to think "I got this covered" and then I crash. This verse came to mind after struggling today with my own mind, then I got a call about someone I know needing prayers for her family, struggle with life threatenting injuries due to an accident. I am reminded about how precious life is, and how quickly it can turn on a dime.
These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come. So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. ~ 1 Corinthians 10:11-14
I take this verse as a reminder that I can learn from others struggles, and I can stop pretending I got my life and feelings in check. I will continue to heal, and I can be a friend to another in need. God is faithful, he is providing me a way to endure.
