The Next Chapter - June 21, 2012

The Next Chapter

“Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.” ~  Proverbs 12:25

Anxiety is a dirty word, right up there with insecurity.  Every time I carry anxiety I get sick, a cold, or a headache, or usually a stress blister on my lip.  I cannot hide my anxiety very well.  It is when I remember to give it to God I start to feel better.  Today I started feeling anxious about money, bills, and all that good stuff.  Then it hit me...... (after getting a sore throat and a headache). I am doing the best I can, I can make changes and take some steps to budget better, but I will be ok.  Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.  It is remembering to call out to God for my needs, and stop pursuing my wants.

The Desert Song- Hillsong United

This is my prayer in the desert
When all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in my hunger and need
My God is the God who provides

This is my prayer in the fire
And weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved of more worth than gold
So refine me lord through the flames

I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain

I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and he is here

This is my prayer in the battle
When triumph is still on its way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on his promise I'll stand

I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain

I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and he is here

All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain

I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and he is here

And this is my prayer in the harvest
And favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be emptied again
The seed I received I will sow
