And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 4:7 NLT
Guard your heart and mind. I think about this everyday. I think about guarding the hearts of others before my own. I am usually the first to jump in, and the first to get hurt. But God knows what he is doing, and he is using these setbacks and missteps as learning tools, and if I had slowed down in the very beginning, I may have avoided some of the hurt. But would I have been open to the lesson? I don't think so. I think it is like watching my kids do something new, first scared, then excited, and proud of themselves. I am scared, and excited, but proud that I can slow down, and wait for the Lord's guidance. I said the Lord's prayer tonight with Merry, and it really covers everything. Jesus is the way.
From The Inside Out - Phillips, Craig, and Dean
A thousand times I've failed
Still your mercy remains
And should I stumble again
Still I'm caught in your grace
Everlasting,
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending,
Your glory goes beyond all fame
My heart and my soul,
I give you control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise become my embrace
To love You from the inside out
Your will above all else, my purpose remains
The art of losing myself in bringing you praise
Everlasting,
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending,
Your glory goes beyond all fame
Everlasting,
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending,
Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise
From the inside out Lord, my soul cries out
My soul cries out, my soul cries out to You
My soul cries out, my soul cries out
