The Next Chapter
Wow what a day! Merry's team played a great game down 8 players to 11, and won :-) Merry hit a double and played awesome at shortstop!
Merry, Jack, Robert (my nephew visiting from FL) and myself went to Fenway Park for their(all 3 of them) first RED SOX game! Although the Sox lost it was still awesome! So much fun... Great super great seats!
Days like today I offer extra praise and thanks for the opportunities to make these things happen! They will always remember today!
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57

The Next Chapter
Sorry I got caught up in homework last night until after midnight. So I missed posting....
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8
I used this verse today, 1) is was the daily devotion in Jesus Calling (for kids) which is a devotion we try and read everyday. 2) it speaks to me toward my own sins, and the out pouring of love I receive from my friends and family and above all our God. Love is the key to the kingdom of God. He loves us, we are chosen, we don't have to earn it, we can mess up, and we are forgiven. We are the voice, the hands, the feet for Christ.......

The Next Chapter
Proverbs 15:1
A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Words to live by....... Today I tested this.... Today it was Merry & Jack 0-60
One second seemingly normal the next running out of karate both of them a minute a part!?!?
Not know what happened or trying not to fuel the fire, they did that for themselves by talking back to the Sansei.... We left. They yell at each other and cried about their worst day ever...... The drama. Usually I play right into this. Falling right into yelling and getting caught up into their drama!
Keeping quiet and praying for peace on the way home.... We regained composure and we were able to talk about the day.... Small victories.

The Next Chapter
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Proverbs - 11:2
Disgrace is a strong word, but the right word when you really think about it. How many times have I opened my mouth thinking I have the answer...... Only to put my foot in my mouth.
Admitting fault or unknown is not easy, but a lesson learned. Yesterday after a rough morning in the car we(the kids and I) asked God for help. Giving up control asking him to take my faults and letting it go. Merry said how peaceful it has been since and Wow isn't that scary! We asked God for help and he helped!!!

This was my morning. I will again give this my life my addictions my fear my anxiety my longing to you my God.... I have hope for peace for love for happiness.... I am encouraged to be open to your word. I asked Jesus to teach me his ways this morning.... Silly me.....they are laid out in the manual of life..... The Bible. I am humbled.

The Next Chapter ~ June 3, 2012
The Next Chapter
Where do I start today? My mind is racing, my heart is heavy, my thoughts are scattered..... Many things today. Lessons learned? Everytime I crack open door, a flood of memories and feelings rush back in. Why do I continue to think "I got this covered" and then I crash. This verse came to mind after struggling today with my own mind, then I got a call about someone I know needing prayers for her family, struggle with life threatenting injuries due to an accident. I am reminded about how precious life is, and how quickly it can turn on a dime.
These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come. So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. ~ 1 Corinthians 10:11-14
I take this verse as a reminder that I can learn from others struggles, and I can stop pretending I got my life and feelings in check. I will continue to heal, and I can be a friend to another in need. God is faithful, he is providing me a way to endure.

The Next Chapter
I missed yesterday. Busy at work, & home. Then out to see Marc Cohen. It was a nice time.
Bittersweet the show. The last time I was there I was not single and it brought back some memories, then the feelings of why am I single again. It starting me thinking about reconnecting with certain people from my past, and then thinking why, why do I feel the need to seek companionship? Why, because at times, don't think I can be ok in my own space in my own skin. I am always taking care of everyone around me, kids, friends. Not in a bad way, I love being a mom and I am grateful to have an amazing circle of friends. But sometimes you are alone, and there is nowhere to hid from yourself. "Wherever you go, there you are" You are always with you, you cannot escape yourself. I better be ok with myself. I am always with me. I will work through my pain and loneliness and focus on my walk with Christ. God will revel each step as I am ready for it.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. ~ 2 Corinthians 1:3 - 4
