I get bible verses in my email and text everyday, when I receive similar messages on the same day I know I need to be listening. Today it is trust!
When I am surrounding by turmoil I may lose my way, when I am broken in spirit I may lose my way, when I cannot see the path I may lose my way.....trust is mine to control. When I give it freely I do not worry, when I close my hand and my heart I struggle....... Today I will trust, I will open my hand and my heart and lift it up.

Thank you Kristin for reminding me that he has me covered..... A beautiful reminder from a lovely friend. In this world of instant communication and instant gratification we need to be reminded God's Will God's Time (GWGT) and it most definitely will not be in an instant and most surely will be lesson in patience. Remember this.......he will never let you go!

The Next Chapter
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
As I stride to be a better mother, a better friend, a better partner ... I am reminded of this verse and his unfailing, unconditional love for us.
I continue to pray for his will, the ability to see the path, and the patience while waiting for his timing.

The Next Chapter
But I trust in your unfailing love? I will rejoice because you have rescued me.

Unfailing love. How can it be unconditional, I am a sinner, I make the same mistakes over and over again. Today my son was answering a simple question with a defensive response. I want to stay calm and in my mind I am calm. But my words are sharp and loud. So again I start my day asking for forgiveness and humbling myself to my child asking for his forgiveness for my sharp words. As I continue my walk I often feel like I am caught between two people, myself and my former self.... I feel like I am growing and learning but standing still......trying to surrender without losing all control.

The Next Chapter
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. ~ Ephesians 1:3
Amazing Grace how sweet the sound.....I was surrounded by his grace today. I felt the spirit at church in an abundance! I am so grateful for my church family the love, concern, and support I felt today was overwhelming. When serving communion every time I said. "The blood of Christ shed for you" I got more and more choked up, I almost lost when the young lady I have been praying for since her accident came up...... I felt like every second was planned out. Blessed Assurance.

The Next Chapter
Well well well.... What a day!
I asked the general manager at work if my contract was going to be extended and he said he did not think so, but he would like me know for sure on Monday. Wow!
Talk about pulling the rug, I felt physically punched in the stomach. What's a girl to do? First things first a good cry....second pray... And third call on others to pray.... That is just what I did. Thank you Pastor Stan and Jamie for answering my call when I called to cry in your ears and ask for prayer.
I use this verse all the time but today I am reciting it like a mantra......
Jeremiah 29:11-13
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

I love that I was reminded of this verse today..... I need to remember in the time of uncertainty that I will be richly rewarded for my faith and he will show me my path when I am ready for it, and not before I am ready. And even when I think I am ready I am not.

Today I felt tired, worn out and just plain done. Then around lunch time I was texting with my BFF and she reminded me that went I go through Jesus to the father I will never be without..... Image never be without! I saw this verse this morning prior to her text in a devotional.
And I read it again when she texted
And I missed the point the first time.... I know I will find peace and it may not be where I am, I am ready for the journey!

What an amazing busy day!
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called ; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:1-6
Beautiful message this morning from my BFF Jamie at church, Hagar's story from Genesis 16..... Amazing, touchy, beautifully interpreted. Not a dry eye.....Plus the bonus of hearing her songs!
Then David & Laura's wedding. One of the most beautiful weddings I have every seen, so much feeling and love. It was wonderful! I am so blessed with my church family. I took my message today from the wedding readings.

The Next Chapter
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13
I have used this verse time and time again... I am lead back to it at time of struggle. I was lead today again. I receive a few devotions by email each day, but today I picked up my Upper Room, which I grabbed from church on Sunday. Jeremiah 29:11 was today's verse! Given my current stress with the changes at my work and the unknown status of my expiring contract it is nice to be reminded that he's got my back and when I continued from verse 11 to verse 13 I was reminded again to seek him with my whole heart!
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways submit to him,and he will make your paths straight.

The Next Chapter
Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. ~ Colossians 1:10, NLT
I truly believe when you live with a pure heart and clear/clean conscience you will please the Lord. Sunday's sermon was from Romans and accountability .... This morning I expected the worst and got it. Merry did not transition to summer camp well, I worried for her all day. On the way home I prayed for a peaceful end to the day, I got a quiet evening and a migraine. The quiet was my peace the headache was my worry from the day. Tomorrow I will pray for strength in my day to release me from my concerns and I will give it up.... Start my day tomorrow as it ends today. In prayer and thanksgiving.
