The Next Chapter
Sometimes if seems like I am always turning the page, but then looking back at what I just read to see if I missed anything. Ever have a day when you wondered, did I make a mistake, did I turn in the wrong direction. Torturing yourself with the "what ifs" and "if I onlys".......Then suddenly you realized your path is not your own, your steps are what and where they should be, there are no accidents. Yesterday, I quoted Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I for you....and I went back to it again today, and read the rest of the verse.
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:12-13
Wholeheartedly, this part of the verse is seemingly more inportant than knowing God has plans, I know God has plans, and what I seem to continue to forget is that I need to seek him with all my heart and I will find him, and he will reveal his plans. Romans 8:18 "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us" Gods promises are unwavering, and steadfast. Trusting in him, and not myself is what makes me turn around and try to go backwards. Faith.....
What Faith Can Do - Kutless
Everybody falls sometimes
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes
And make a new beginning
Anyone can feel the ache
You think it's more than you can take
But you're stronger
Stronger than you know
Don't you give up now
The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining
I've seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn't ever end
Even when the sky is falling
I've seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That's what faith can do
It doesn't matter what you've heard
Impossible is not a word
It's just a reason
For someone not to try
Everybody's scared to death
When they decide to take that step
Out on the water
It'll be alright
Life is so much more
Than what your eyes are seeing
You will find your way
If you keep believing
I've seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn't ever end
Even when the sky is falling
I've seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That's what faith can do
Overcome the odds
You don't have a chance
(That's what faith can do)
When the world says you can't
It'll tell you that you can
I've seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn't ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I've seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That's what faith can do
That's what faith can do
Even if you fall sometimes
You will have the strength to rise

The Next Chapter
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
I continually return to this verse, again and again. When I am discouraged I find strength here. When I am weak in spirit, beat up, tired.... I turn here. I may not know the plans he has for me, but I know he will show me when it is time to know. These are the times I reach out and cry out to Jesus...
Cry Out To Jesus - Third Day
To everyone who's lost someone they love
Long before it was their time
You feel like the days you had were not enough
When you said goodbye
And to all of the people with burdens and pains
Keepin' you back from your life
You believe that there's nothing
And there is no one who can make it right
There is hope for the helpless, rest for the weary
And love for the broken hearts
There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
Cry out to Jesus
Cry out to Jesus
For the marriage that's struggling just to hang on
Have lost all of their faith in love
And they've done all they can to make it right again
Still it's not enough
For the ones who can't break the addictions and chains
You try to give up but you come back again
Just remember that you're not alone
In your shame and your suffering
There is hope for the helpless, rest for the weary
And love for the broken hearts
There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
Cry out to Jesus
When you're lonely
And it feels like the whole world is falling on you
You just reach out
You just cry out to Jesus
Cry to Jesus
To the widow who suffers from being alone
Wipin' the tears from her eyes
For the children around the world without a home
Say a prayer tonight
There is hope for the helpless, rest for the weary
And love for the broken hearts
There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing
That meets you wherever you are
There is hope for the helpless, rest for the weary
And love for the broken hearts
There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing

Cry out to Jesus

The Next Chapter
Today I focus on my school work and particularly on my Positive psychology class. Interestingly I have to write an entry in a journal each week as part of my assignments, and this week is thoughts and feelings / negative and postive. For this week's journal, I need to write about how it felt to pay attention to my thoughts and feelings? Did I notice any patterns or themes? Also, write at least three examples of negative thoughts I had over the last week and discuss how I made them more positive. Wow, what a task! I hate to say it but I have negative thoughts everyday. I sometimes wake up with them..... Like DANG that STUPID alarm is going off again! Or Merry/Jack time to get up for the 100th time.....! Is there a pattern? What can I change to combat these negative moments? Then it hits me..... All I need and I continuely remind myself is GOD. When I start my day, no matter what time with the Armour of God, I am outfitted for the battle of the day. Spiritually Dressed For Success
Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled round your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. ~ Eph 6:10-17
Chris Tomlin - Praise the Father, Praise the Son
O sov'reign God, O matchless King-
the saints adore, the angels sing
and fall before the throne on grace
to you belongs the highest praise.
These sufferings, this passing tide
under Your wings I will abide,
and every enemy shall flee;
You are my hope and victory.
Praise the Father, Praise the Son.
Praise the Spirit, Three in One.
Clothed in power and in grace
the name above all other names.
To the valley, for my soul;
Thy great descent has made me whole!
You word my heart has welcomed home;
now peace like water ever flows.
Praise the Father, Praise the Son.
Praise the Spirit, Three in One.
Clothed in power and in grace

Memorial Day 2012.... Pause to give thanks for all those who serve and protect our freedom. And to give praise to God for calling those to service. While out and about with Jack and his friend Josh we caught a flag raising ceremony at the old courthouse.
As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Whoever speaks, let him speak, as it were, the utterances of God; whoever serves, let him do so as by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:10-11

The storms of my life raise and fall seemingly like the tide. They ebb and flow.... Yesterday my daughter got separated from us in Walmart, one second she was walking with us, the next she was gone. First I was mad, then scared, and panic-ed. I started walking the aisles, and looking just looking..... When I saw her, and walking behind her was my Pastor and his wife...... Oh My GOD! Thank you, thank you. They just happened to be walking into the store when they saw her alone, God sent them to Walmart. They were not going to go, they just happen to be there! Then in today's sermon I was reminded of God's promise to always be there, and when I was not there for my daughter he sent help.
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:31
God With Us – Mercy Me
Who are we, that You would be mindful of us?
What do You see, that's worth looking our way?
We are free, in ways that we never should be.
Sweet release, from the grip of these chains.
Like hinges straining from the weight, my heart no longer can keep from singing.
All that is within me cries.
For You alone be glorified Emmanuel, God with us.
My heart sings a brand new song.
The debt is paid these chains are gone.
Emmanuel, God with us.
Lord You know, our hearts don't deserve Your glory.
Still You show, a love we cannot afford.
Like hinges straining from the weight, my heart no longer can keep from singing.
All that is within me cries.
For You alone be glorified Emmanuel, God with us.
My heart sings a brand new song.
The debt is paid these chains are gone.
Emmanuel, God with us.
Such a tiny offering, compared to Calvary, nevertheless we lay it at your feet.

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. Psalm 119:105
Today, I think about his word and when I forget to stop and take a moment for him. I get caught up in life, running from sport to sport, racing through the day. I pause and remember to pray.
How Can I Keep From Singing -
Chris Tomlin
There is an endless song
Echoes in my soul
I hear the music ring
And though the storms may come
I am holding on
To the rock I cling
How can I keep from singing Your praise
How can I ever say enough
How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing
I will lift my eyes
In the darkest night
For I know my Savior lives
And I will walk with You
Knowing You'll see me through
And sing the songs You give
I can sing in the troubled times
Sing when I win
I can sing when I lose my step
And fall down again
I can sing 'cause You pick me up
Sing 'cause You're there
I can sing 'cause You hear me, Lord
When I call to You in prayer
I can sing with my last breath
Sing for I know
That I'll sing with the angels
And the saints around the throne
Lord, I give it to you today help me hold my tongue and see the world and all those in it through your eyes......

Small Happinesses.
I am taking a few classes this summer, and one of them is Postive Psychology. Wow, what an interesting concept. Being happy to learn to be happy. I personally live by this. Half full, looking on the bright side, but especially leaning on my faith to remind me to be happy my needs are met and not worrying about things. I continue to lift it up and trust. I will hold my candle high even when the flame is low.
Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you. ~ Psalm 143:8, NLT
Kathy Troccoli -Go Light Your World
There is a candle in every soul
Some brightly burning, some dark and cold
There is a Spirit who brings fire
Ignites a candle and makes His home
Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Take your candle, and go light your world
Frustrated brother, see how he's tried to
Light his own candle some other way
See now your sister, she's been robbed and lied to
Still holds a candle without a flame
Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the lonely, the tired and worn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Take your candle, and go light your world
We are a family whose hearts are blazing
So let's raise our candles and light up the sky
Praying to our Father, in the name of Jesus
Make us a beacon in darkest times
Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the helpless, deceived and poor
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
